We’re proud to be part of the conversation around ovarian and gynecologic cancers—and even prouder when that conversation reaches a wider audience.
Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month
WESH 2 highlighted the important work of the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance (OCRA) in raising awareness and promoting upcoming events throughout September. With nearly 20,000 women expected to be diagnosed with ovarian cancer this year, early detection remains critical—yet only 17% of cases are caught in Stage 1.
OCRA’s efforts include community education, symptom awareness (using the acronym BEACH), and fitness-based fundraising events like Ovarian Cycle Orlando. Toteally Sisters proudly supports these life-saving initiatives and will be participating in local events all month long.
